Dikk! is a small application that sends an instant screenshots of your computer screen to the other users on your local Bonjour network.

Effectively, you can just shout 'Hey! Check this out!' to the people in the room and show them on their screens exactly what you're looking at, at the press of a button.

Install and run Dikk! on all the Macs in the room that you want to send and receive Dikk! screenshots. The app detects each running copy in the room, identifying everybody using their user account data. Once you've launched it, Dikk! will run in the background, apparent only in the Dock and the menu bar. Image:dikk.statusicon.png

Sending

F1 - send capture of active window to everybody on the network

F2 - send capture of active window to selected users

On pressing F2, Dikk! pops up a list of all the people available on the network, and you can select individual or multiple recipients. The shortcuts can be redefined in Preferences

Receiving

Incoming screenshots are displayed in a full-screen viewer. When first receiving a transmission from someone, you are prompted to accept or decline transmissions from the user. If you do not want to be disturbed for a while, you can turn on Silent mode in Preferences, and have all incoming screenshots sent straight to History, without displaying them on the screen.

Lets you choose between sending the active window or your entire screen, or a selected window.

Browse transmissions

F4 - browse incoming transmissions

This brings up the full-screen viewer, which also stores a history of past transmissions, so you can browse them anytime.

General - you can set default name (appearing in Contacts), service port, default screenshot option

Shortcuts - lets you define all 6 shortcuts that control Dikk!

Contacts - lets you block people from approved senders list
